Lois McEwan writes short stories, is a journalist and a yoga teacher. She won second prize in the Asham award for her story Mrs Laidlaw’s Event Horizon. She is a revise sub-editor on The Sunday Times, where she has worked since 1996, and has worked on The Times, The Guardian, The Independent and The South China Morning Post in Hong Kong. She has also published articles and other stories.
